THE PROBLEM OF JESUS - WEEK 1

Mark Clark once wrote, “The scandal of Jesus is that he creates a crisis in each of us … The life & teachings of Jesus are more than just historical events we dust off & examine like artifacts in a museum. They alter reality, forcing us to rethink & reconfigure everything about our lives. Such is the risk and the adventure of the problem of Jesus.” Discover the problems that Jesus creates for each of us & a deeper understanding of one of the foundational events of our history.

Message Series Description:

What makes Christianity different from any other religion is its claim that God actually entered our world and became human. “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son [Jesus] from the Father” (John 1.14). If this is true, isn’t it worth breaking from the busyness of your life to listen to what he has to say, to learn from what he did? But if it IS true, then it actually becomes a problem for each of us to wrestle with: what do I do with this man Jesus, with all He said and taught and did? Discover what that might mean for you as we lean into God's word to learn more.
