A LIGHT IN THE DARK - WEEK 1

Mental health can be a very difficult topic to discuss within the church because it is complex and highly personal, but all of us are affected by mental illness - personally or with those we love. Therefore, The Church must address this subject ... silence leads people to struggle in isolation. If you have or are currently struggling with mental health issues, please know this - you are not the illness or disorder. It is part of your journey, and God is not intimidated by it! You are a child of God, fully cherished, loved, and accepted by God. God longs to reveal His compassion and hope at every step of the way. But it all starts with recognizing that the darkness is real. But so is the light.

#aLIGHTintheDARK #TheDarknessIsReal

Message Series Description:

Those who struggle in this life mayt often find themselves stigmatized or left in the dark. Some of us live in a darkness that pervades our lives that no one can really see. Others of us are trying to help those who are battling with mental & emotional darkness. We want to shine a light into the darkness by bringing awareness and Biblical perspective to the emotional and mental struggles many of us face. We are all called to bring help to those who struggle, hope to those to who hurt, and healing into the broken places of life ... whether you are facing the darkness yourself or helping someone else who is.
